Know Me Better ("the App") is developed by Burak Kaya. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Summary: We collect only your display name, quiz content, and a push notification token. We do not collect location, contacts, payment information, or any personally identifiable information. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

1. Data We Collect

The App collects the following data, solely for core app functionality:

Display Name: A name you choose during onboarding. This is not verified, not unique, and not linked to any real-world identity.
Quiz Content: Questions you select or create, and the answers you provide.
Quiz Results: Scores, emoji reactions, and badges earned when answering friends' quizzes.
Device Token: A push notification token provided by Apple, used to deliver notifications when someone completes your quiz.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Email address or phone number
Location or GPS data
Contacts or address book
Photos, camera, or microphone data
Payment or financial information
Health or fitness data
Browsing history or search history
Advertising identifiers (IDFA)

3. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Displaying your name to quiz participants in results and leaderboards.
Storing and retrieving quizzes you create and answer.
Sending push notifications when someone completes your quiz.
Displaying badges and emoji reactions in quiz results.

4. Data Storage

All data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore, a cloud database service operated by Google. Data is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure and protected by Google's security practices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Data is only shared in the following context:

Your display name and quiz scores are visible to the creator of a quiz you answer (this is core app functionality).

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Firebase Firestore: Cloud database for storing quizzes and results.
Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notification delivery.
Firebase Cloud Functions: Server-side logic for triggering notifications.

No advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking tools are used.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as the App is in use. Since the App does not require account creation, there is no traditional "account deletion" process. Uninstalling the App disassociates your device from the stored data.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App does not require any personally identifiable information. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
